This family-friendly, country hotel is a huge 3 storey heritage building with a rich history dating all the way back to 1913.
In its early days, the Neath Hotel was popular with miners, with mining being a rapidly developing industry in the Hunter Valley at the time, it was the perfect place to go after a hard days work – and still is!
The Neath Hotel houses numerous historical artefacts from visitors along the way, including Harry Littlefair’s mining lamp and fuel container. Harry Littlefair was a miner who grew up in the Hunter Valley, he often enjoyed a cold beer at the Neath Hotel and left his lamp and fuel container at the hotel for safe keeping when he went off to fight in the war. Harry passed away in battle and his lamp still resides at the Neath Hotel today, click here to read more about the Neath Hotel’s history.
